How did you like Shutter Island? I watched it this weekend and really liked it. But I just hated The Kids are Alright. Just...hated.
We liked The Kids Are Alright. Even Rob watched it and he hasn't watched a movie since October. It was a fine rental.
I loved Shutter Island. I loved the book and then decided to see the movie and it's almost exactly the same except for one scene. I love Dennis Lehane's writing. He has a simple style but a complex story. He writes action well, too, which I usually have trouble "seeing" when I read.
