Books Read in April 2016

I really enjoyed All the Light We Cannot See.  I got to hear the author speak last month, and that was highly enjoyable.  He's such a good speaker, one of the few authors who was just so vibrant yet spent very little time talking about himself or his book(s).  He was generous with Q&A and so very smart and intelligent without making you feel stupid because you weren't as smart as he was.

I enjoyed the always-enjoyable Jill Shalvis and Julia Quinn.  Plus, I found a whole cache of Jaci Burton books.  I read these two plus a third in May and still have a novella before I'm all caught up.  I'm reading the novella out of order, but I do love making progress on books hanging out in my e-reader.  Decent month even if I had more I wanted to get to.

    Books Read in March 2016

I read The Japanese Lover for book club. I liked it overall, but there was a lot going on spanning a lot of time. I finished out Sarah MacLean's backlist with The Rogue Not Taken. I read a freebie, Alpha. I also read debut author, Anne A. Wilson. I liked Hover a lot, but I didn't expect it to be more Women's Fiction with a current of romance. I thought it would be more literary fiction. Still, it did a great job with the opening suspense. It was a solid debut.

      Books Read in February 2016

February became the month I glommed onto Sarah MacLean.  It's been a long time since I've read a historical romance novel.  It was a good reintroduction to the subgenre.  Plus, you can never go wrong with J.D. Robb.  This one was a dark one, but it was a good, solid read.

        Books Read in January 2016

        1. Stripped Down: A Blacktop Cowboys novella by Lorelei James (NOTE: This is part of the Blacktop Cowboys series. The order of which can be found here.)
        2. Angel by Victoria Dahl (NOTE: This isn't part of a series, but it's the prequel to Harlot.)
        3. The Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman
        4. Off the Clock by Roni Loren (NOTE: This is part of the Pleasure Principle series, the order of which can be found here.)
It was a mediocre month for books. I read a handful of quick ones (on the naughtier side) and the book club book. I didn't love the book club book, but I liked that it was a true story. It did make me think occasionally, and I really didn't know much about St. Thomas so that was interesting. I didn't read a lot in December, but I loved both books. That should count for something.

        What We've Watched - 2020

I forgot a bunch!  So, just to round out 2020, here we go. Let's see... I watched Enola Holmes on Netflix which I found adorable, and I...
