Today is my Gotcha Day. I was adopted, and today (33 years ago) is the day my parents picked me up from the airport. So, it's like a second birthday. It's just as important as my birthday as it is the day that our family came together (unless you count my sister's Gotcha Day in June).Last night, we had my parents over for dinner. They spend the night with Little Miss. It was a lot of fun. Plus, there were presents.
Tonight, I had my office party and, when I came home, there were more presents! Husband got me new jammies. I've been wanting them, too. He didn't know I wanted them so they're even a nicer treat. He also got me 2 ornaments from Little Miss. One is a Mommy ornament and the other marks Little Miss's second Christmas with us. I didn't even know they made second Christmas ornaments!
Anyway, it's a very special night in our house. Who knows what would have happened if there was no Gotcha Day!

Since we were in the delivery room and brought him home the next morning, we never really do gotcha day for Ben. We basically got him on his birthday.
We do always let him pick favorite restaurant for dinner on October 18th, which is when the adoption was finalized.
