These are the moments I thank God that I’m alive
These are the moments I’ll remember all my life
I found all I’ve waited for
And I could not ask for more
Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything to me - Dianne Warren
I know, the title doesn't match the song again (but I use the song twice). I've posted the cake before, but it makes me so happy. It's a little busy, and I'm sure I'd criticize it if it was someone else's cake, but it has my favorite flower on it, the pansy. It was difficult to incorporate my favorite flower as it's small and delicate, but we did get to put them on the cake. I love that it was colorful, too. The cake top was an engagement gift. Not long after we got married, Husband decapitated the groom. However, thanks to a little superglue, he's not too worse for the wear. Husband also broke the Mickey goblet from our rehearsal dinner, but that was a lost cause. I still have Minnie though.
Anyway, we spoke ahead of time that we were going to have our first bite of cake as civilized married people. So, after we cut the cake with a knife and server from my grandparents, we had forks and fed each other. Something is making me laugh in the below photo as well, but darned if I can remember. I'm pretty sure it's not Husband using a fork. Contrary to my teasing him about his manual dexterity or lack thereof, he can use a fork. I can't remember the cake, but I know it was vanilla because Mom can't have chocolate. There may have been a raspberry filling. I was more concerned with the outside of it, I must admit.
