Baby is one week old today. He had a rough day, but he's a trooper. Today, we spent the most time with him. He was such a cuddler and was a great eater. He, so far, surpasses his sister when it comes to nursing and eating. When he's awake, he is a fantastic eater. It's just a matter of keeping him awake through it all. Nothing is as big of an ego boost than having a boy fall asleep at your breast. Like I wasn't already self-conscious enough about them.
After 9 months of anxiety over having 2 kids, we can't wait to get him home. We have a good plan to try to balance everything. If anything, things should get easier once he's home versus traveling to Fairfax everyday to visit the baby and still being here for Little Miss. It won't be a walk in the park, but it will be a different kind of happy stress versus crazy frazzled stress. So, it's been a roller coaster of a first week so it can only go up from here!
