Books Read in July 2010

  1. Loving a Lost Lord by Mary Jo Putney (NOTE: This is Book 1 of The Lost Lord series. The book order can be found here.)
  2. Never Less Than a Lady by Mary Jo Putney (NOTE: This is Book 2 of The Lost Lord series. The book order can be found here.)
  3. Crazy in Love by Victoria Dahl
  4. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson (NOTE: This is Book 2 of the Millenium trilogy. The book order can be found here.)
As always, the books that link to an ebook were read on my nook and the books that link to a physical book were read on paper (although none were paper books this month). I was on a good pace at the end of last month, but I was busy this month so not a lot of reading at the end of the month. The Girl Who Played with Fire was a slower read, but it still only took me about a week to read. I enjoyed it and it motivated me to immediately start the third in the trilogy.

I started reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I'm only about 25 pages in and it's a slow go. I hope I can make it through the whole thing. Does it pick up?

My MIL gave me the other two books in the series.

The series is rough. The first half of the first book is the hardest to get through of the entire series. The second half picks up quite a bit. It's where the intrigue picks up and all the action happens. The second book is much easier to read because you know the characters. The second also ends on a cliffhanger so if you get that far, you have to at least start the third. I did put down the third so I could read something light and fluffy though. I can only do so much mainstream fiction before I need something romantic or at least with less violence. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has a lot of violence of all kinds. Just a warning. Good luck!
