I Will Be Your Friend

‘Cause I’m never gonna walk away
If the wall comes down someday
All alone and you feel afraid
Be there when you call my name
You can always depend on me
I believe until forever ends
I will be your friend - Spencer Campbell, Lisa Cochran, , Amy Grant, Mark Hammond, Dann Huff, Gordon Kennedy, Phil Madeira

As important as our family was, our friends were just as important because what's a celebration without friends? Husband had his brother, his group of high school friends and a childhood friend from New Jersey in his wedding party. I had my sister, a friend from elementary school, middle school and my college roommate. We had a good amount of friends at the wedding and reception as well. It's also fantastic because we pretty much stay in touch with everyone still. Something to be said about longtime friends and the history you have together. I may not talk to a lot of my long-distance friends often, but when I do, it's always like a day has not passed.

The below photo is one of our wedding photos. I just like it because it shows the back of my dress. The dress was actually supposed to skim the floor on normal people. A lot of people don't know this. Because all the detail is on the hem, the seamstress took the dress up from the waist. Therefore, the skirt was fuller than designed (so I didn't need a slip) and there was a slight train. This is one of the few photos that show the back clearly though it does kind of hijack the photo.

I love the dress. And the song! It's great to have friends be involved in your wedding and to stay in touch. Moving countries made it difficult to stay in touch but it's amazing how social media is making the world a smaller place again. :)
