Today is the anniversary of Dr. Seuss's birthday. He was born in the town next to my hometown. That combined with the fact that my mother was a nursery school teacher and Dr. Seuss's biggest fan, I'm very familiar with his work. He has a fascinating life and, whether you are as big a fan as my mother, you can't help but know at least a couple of his characters. My favorite book is The Sneeches and Other Stories. Though I don't have a Sneech, I do have Thing One and Thing Two. As I've been more active blogging than I thought I'd be when I started this, I thought the below is a nice reminder to keep things brief.
I've never known any trouble that an hour's reading didn't assuage. Charles De Secondat (1689 - 1755)
