Happy Anniversay, Husband!

Some last details: Our wedding song was "Still the One" by Shania Twain. Our last song of the evening was "Could Not Ask for More" by Edwin McCain. It rained that day. I've been looking at old photos, and the day really was a lot of fun. It was really great that so many family and friends came to celebrate with us. It is true that the day just flew. I remember the strangest details and the rest is a blur. I remember I snagged my fake nails, and it hurt a lot. Many photos have me holding ice to my nail. I remember having the most delicious drink and then not knowing what it was so I couldn't ever ask for it again. I spent the rest of the night trying to find that drink again and never could. I remember shampooing my hair three times to get all of hairspray out. I just remember having fun. I always did like our cake, too. I was glad that I was able to work in my favorite flower.

Would I do anything differently? I don't think I would have gotten the fake nails. I think I would have had a professional cut my bangs before the big day. Oh, and I would have eaten that day. I didn't have breakfast because I always choose extra sleep over breakfast, and Dad brought lunch after my makeup was done and I didn't want to mess anything up. So, I was hungry by the time the ceremony started. I do have to say that the food at the reception was yummy, and I think I ate my weight that night. Maybe that's why I lost the little hook to my dress. It just popped off from all my eating!

Anyway, it was a great night. It seems like yesterday and yet very long ago at the same time. Happy ninth anniversary, Husband!

Nine years. I remember reading about your wedding on the JMBB. Jane was there and posted all about it and then in Austin, she had a few pictures to share. Your dress was amazing and you and Husband looked so happy. It made me pull out my wedding pictures to look through all over again. *g*
