One Year Ago... Football Sunday Gone Awry

Oh, I had grand plans. I worked until October 26 last year. I had the weekend and Monday off until I was scheduled for a c-section on Tuesday morning. Husband and I had a great date day planned for Monday. On Saturday, a friend and I saw Michael Clayton. By the end of the movie, though, I was feeling kind of rumbly in my tumbly. Based on the symptoms, I figured I ate something questionable.

On Sunday, Husband woke up to watch football. I was feeling slightly sluggish and achy. I figured it was because I was gigantic. Around 1PM, I took a warm bath. I still felt kind of bad. My back hurt. I figured it was because our mattress was like 10 years old and I just spent a half hour in the uncomfortable bathtub. The next couple of hours I'll skip over, but let's just say I felt bad. Then, my back hurt and even I figured something was definitely going on. Then, I figured something was definitely going on like every 20 minutes. Then, every 10 minutes. At that point, I decided to tell Husband that his football Sunday may not go as planned. So, we kind of hung out on the couch and waited. Within a short time, we went from every 10 minutes to every 7 minutes. We called the doctor and left a message. Then, we just decided to head to the hospital in the middle of the Jets game - so Baby should know how important she was because her daddy missed the Jets game! That's ok... I inserted the photo of the missed game to this blog. The photo makes the Jets look like they played well and won (they didn't).

Short story even shorter, we got to the hospital, had a c-section as soon as my doctor got there around 9PM and then got admitted around midnight. Happy birthday, Baby!
